August Bottlings

After a summer too hot for brewing, a flurry of brews and bottlings.

A winter IPA flavoured with cinnamon, orange, cloves and coriander, fermented with two yeasts – 1469 and 1099.

Then a ‘usual’ Gaits Ale, Dark Mild, and finally a Beckstones Bitter with an uncertain yeast content when the 1098 didn’t go so I added 1469.

Wadworths Brewery Visit

A short visit to the renowned brewery in Devizes.

A bit short on real brewing knowledge from the tour guide, and nothing divulged on malts and hops in use. Interesting that mash temp was a regular 67 +/-1 deg.
