Gaits with a return to an earlier (#8) version and an APA although the Citra hops were a bit tired.

In preparation for Christmas – here’s this years Christmas Special. Its an Ale base with a goodly hint of orange and cinnamon. Snog!.   And a repeat Slack Alice.

After a really moderate Beckstones with Saaz hops, its a return to the Golding hop for a summer bitter. Touch of Citra to lift the flavours. Spate to the ‘usual’ recepie

Took in a few beers and cocktails

Well, not quite. However, James bought me a Beer Hawk box of mixed beers, so we had an evening of trying them all while watching the Premier League Darts.

A further batch of Mild, this time with Pale Malt and slightly higher bitterness (A mistake!)

American IPA with Citra and Cascade, dry hopped – great example of its type

So a new year and further refinement of the core brews

Classic Goldings based bitter, Spate with Fuggles and EK Goldings and Gaits with Progress featuring early and late.

After a summer too hot for brewing, a flurry of brews and bottlings.

A winter IPA flavoured with cinnamon, orange, cloves and coriander, fermented with two yeasts – 1469 and 1099.

Then a ‘usual’ Gaits Ale, Dark Mild, and finally a Beckstones Bitter with an uncertain yeast content when the 1098 didn’t go so I added 1469.
